Edge Effects is hosting a photo contest! To celebrate nearly four years of publishing creative and thought-provoking interdisciplinary work, our theme is “Working at the Edge.” Send us your original photographs of interactions between people and environment that represent boundaries crossed, lines of inquiry challenged, or barriers broken.

Winning photographs will be featured on Edge Effects, and we’ll sing your praises to all our social media followers. We might even send you one of our favorite books or some swag from University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Center for Culture, History, and Environment.

Please limit your submission to a maximum of two original photographs. Send them in jpg. format to edgeeffects@nelson.wisc.edu. Please include a caption of 200 characters max. that includes your name, the location of the photograph, and the date. Original work only, please. Entries are due January 15, 2018.
