Heather Rosenfeld is a geography graduate student at UW-Madison and part-time instructor at Madison Area Technical College. Her research interests include the idiosyncrasies of and controversies around ‘green’ technology, environmental justice, and feminism in the academy. Mohammed Rafi Arefin is a PhD Student in the Department of Geography at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research interests include urban geography, waste, psychoanalytic geography, and development. He explores these interests in projects on the relationship between garbage, culture, power, and politics. His work has taken him to Cairo to examine the politics of garbage in the January 25 Revolution. Other projects include work on representations of hoarding and hazardous waste. Contact.
