In a city built to be immovable, forces of nature—human and otherwise—prompt an immediate and palpable tension with the urban environment, creating uneasy moments of closeness and friction. This photographic exhibit, shot entirely in New York, explores some of those moments.

After growing up and going to college amidst plenty of farmland, Andy Cogbill put his degree in French Literature to work with a career in Advertising in New York City. During years of being ground down by his urban life, the urgency to say something about the experience came to a head while he explored the city with a camera. Contact. Website
